011. September 2026

Hello everyone, BMM – Taeng Mo here!

Surprise! The September blog is brought to you by yours truly. 😎

I decided to disappear from 15 to 19 September on an (almost) secret trip. Every working adult will know that there are times when you just want to pack a bag, switch off from everything and disappear for a while — but, of course, reality and responsibilities often have other plans.

I’m grateful that my job allows me to do that… sort of. So, when the opportunity came, I packed my bags and disappeared for a few days.

As usual, this was not exactly what you would call a well-planned trip. It was more of a “let’s see what happens” kind of adventure — minimal planning, plenty of YOLO, and just enough preparation to make sure I had somewhere to sleep. 😂

Every time I come to Thailand, there are always new therapists and shops popping up, and naturally, there are plenty of familiar faces that I’m tempted to revisit as well. This time was no different.

I shortlisted a mix of familiar favourites and new places I had been wanting to try. After a little process of elimination — because sadly, five days is not enough to visit everywhere — I finally narrowed the list down to something that could realistically fit into my trip.

And so, my September adventure began…

The places I visited on this trip are,

  • History of Massage
  • Chill and Bliss
  • Mencare
  • S’Sense Massage

15 September 2026

Two days before the flight, the exchange rate was looking unusually attractive. That was all the encouragement I needed. I decided to let BMM – Sawng know that I was going on a last-minute trip to BKK.

Before the trip, I did a little planning on who I wanted to try. The mission for this trip was simple: almost no repeats.

I wanted to use the few days I had to explore as many new therapists as possible, and somehow, I managed to squeeze quite a few new names into the itinerary. My flight was in the afternoon, and I expected to reach the hotel around 7pm. I had already booked an airport transfer because there were some issues with the Airport Rail Link, and I was definitely not going to stand around waiting an hour for a train after flying in.

Of course, the plan immediately went slightly sideways. My driver got lost on the way to the hotel and took a little detour. By the time I finally reached the hotel, it was around 8pm.

And I was HUNGRY. Unfortunately, dinner had to wait because I had a 10pm appointment at History of Massage. I took a quick shower, grabbed my things and headed out again. I decided to take the BTS to National Stadium and walk over to HOM from there.

History of Massage — Mr. Khun

For my first appointment of the trip, I booked Mr. Khun.

We had exchanged a few messages on Instagram previously, and I decided to give him a try. Part of the reason was simply to support him as he begins his journey as a therapist.

I arrived at History of Massage and confirmed my booking with reception. The receptionist asked me to take a seat while she went to get Mr. Khun.

And then he appeared.

Let me just say this: Mr. Khun is handsome and cute in person.

The shop photos do have a little editing — something Mr. Khun himself confirmed with me later. So yes, what you see online has had a little help, but the real-life version is still quite pleasant to look at.

Mr. Khun brought me to the room and asked me to shower first while he prepared everything for the session. Our communication throughout was an interesting combination of my beginner Thai and his basic English. Somehow, we managed just fine. 😂

The massage itself was relaxing, and he followed the standard History of Massage’s massage sequence. By this point, the combination of a long travel day, very little food and a relaxing massage was starting to catch up with me. I fell asleep a few times.

Mr. Khun also had a playful side and teased me here and there, which helped keep things light during the session.

I’ll leave the more detailed write up for the proper BMM review.

After the session, both of us were hungry, so I invited Mr. Khun to join me for a meal. We chatted over food and, honestly, it didn’t feel like I was having a meal with someone I had only just met. The conversation was surprisingly comfortable, almost like catching up with an old friend.

By the time I finally made it back to the hotel, it was already 2am. I decided not to meet my boy from Dreamboys — let’s call him Khun R — that night.

I had another appointment waiting for me the following day at Chill and Bliss for their Kasai Massage.

16 September 2026

After finally getting some much-needed sleep, I woke up and headed down for the hotel breakfast. While having breakfast, I received a message from Chill and Bliss, reminding me that I had an appointment with Phoo Ri later that day.

For those who have been following the BMM adventures, Chill and Bliss isn’t exactly a new name. BMM had previously visited their outlet in Thong Lo, but that branch has since closed, and the shop has relocated to Silom.

Getting to Chill and Bliss is pretty straightforward if you’re coming by BTS.

Alight at Sala Daeng BTS and take the exit towards Thaniya Shopping Centre — the one with Don Don Donki. From there, cut through Thaniya Road towards Surawong Road, then turn right and walk in the direction of Rama 9 Road. Cross the road at the traffic light and continue walking straight for about 20 metres. You should then spot Chill and Bliss.

Chill and Bliss — Phoo Ri

The décor is very similar to the previous outlet, with the same lush, green, tropical vibes. The shop also smelled really nice, which immediately gave the place a relaxing feel.

There was one receptionist on duty when I arrived, and he was clearly a very busy man. He was trying to coordinate everything at once and looked a little flustered at times. 😂

I decided to go for a 90-minute Kasai Massage with Phoo Ri, making use of their Wednesday promotion. After confirming my booking, I made payment and the receptionist asked me to take a seat while he checked on the room and went to get my therapist.

A short while later, Phoo Ri came out to receive me.

Now, I have to say that Phoo Ri looked a little different from his photos. There was probably some photo editing involved — perhaps about a 20% difference — but he was still pleasant-looking and had a slightly charming vibe in person.

My first impression was that he seemed to be quite an I-person — more on the introverted side. He wasn’t particularly talkative at first but that changed once I started speaking to him in Thai.

He slowly opened up, and we managed to have a little conversation before getting started.

Phoo Ri is technically new to Chill and Bliss, but once he started the massage, I immediately noticed something. This guy knows what he’s doing. I became curious enough that I had to do my usual casual BMM “interview”. And sure enough — six years of experience.

The Kasai experience this time was also noticeably different from my previous experience at the Thong Lo outlet. There was more attention given to the lower back, inner thighs and certain points towards the front, making the session feel quite different from what I remembered.

It was a good kind of sore — the sort where you know certain areas have definitely been worked.

Overall, it was an interesting first session with Phoo Ri, and definitely one that deserves a more detailed write-up. So, as usual… Keep a lookout for the in-depth review. 😉

After finishing my session at Chill and Bliss at around 2pm, I received a reminder from Mencare for my 6pm appointment with Mr Phoom.

I headed towards the Silom Edge, grabbed some boat noodles and killed some time. I wanted to do a leg massage before going to Mencare but I decided to head back to the hotel, rest for a while and recharge before the evening appointment.

Mencare was only about a 10-minute ride from my hotel, but anyone who has travelled around Sathorn will know that 10 minutes can be a very optimistic estimate once traffic decides to join the party. My appointment was at 6pm, so I decided to leave around 5:15pm.

The sky was already looking rather suspicious — dark clouds were gathering, and it looked like rain was on the way. I decided to take my chances and ordered a GrabBike. About two minutes before reaching Mencare, the sky suddenly turned very dark, and the wind started picking up.

To make matters worse, traffic inside the alley was ridiculously jammed. I was watching the sky, watching the traffic and silently praying that I would make it before the heavens opened.

The moment I alighted from the GrabBike and made it into the hotel, the rain started pouring. I looked back and counted my blessings.

Mencare is situated behind The Tivoli Hotel. Just set the drop off point to the hotel and you will be able to reach Mencare.

Mencare — Mr Phoom

It seemed that Mencare shared the same lobby area with another shop, so I made my way to the reception and confirmed my booking. I had booked their 2-hour bath and massage promotion. After making payment, I was asked to choose my preferred fragrance before settling down to wait for Phoom.

A short while later, Phoom came to receive me. First impression? Handsome, and very much like his shop photo. No surprises there.

He also seemed to be another rather quiet and reserved person — definitely giving me another “I-person” impression. At this point, I wasn’t quite sure whether I should communicate with him in Thai or English, so I just went with whatever seemed to work at the moment.

Phoom asked me to soak in the tub first and said he would return about 10 minutes later to begin the session. While I was soaking, he gave me a head and shoulder massage.

And honestly, this part was really good. In fact, it was one of the better head-and-shoulder massages I’ve experienced. The pressure was comfortable, and it was exactly what I needed. Once that was done, Phoom helped rinse away the bubbles before bringing me over to the massage bed. This was where my experience became a little more mixed.

The massage on the bed felt somewhat mechanical compared with the excellent head-and-shoulder work earlier. Perhaps I had also built up a certain expectation after reading the many reviews about Mencare and Phoom beforehand.

I’ll leave the finer details for my in-depth review.

Stay tuned. 😉

After my session, I texted my favourite Khun R and updated him on where I was. We had already made plans to meet for dinner, so I was looking forward to seeing him again.

Khun R told me that he was at a gym near my hotel, so I booked a GrabCar and headed back to the hotel to meet him. I have to admit — I had really missed Khun R. It was genuinely nice to see him again, and I was very happy that we managed to meet up during this trip.

When I reached the hotel, I decided to pop into 7-Eleven to pick up a few things while waiting for him in the lobby. He arrived while I was in the middle of a work call. Once I finished my call, we decided to put our things in the room first before heading out for dinner.

The original plan was a seafood buffet. But once again, Bangkok’s weather had a different plan. The rain started coming down heavily again.

At that point, we looked at each other and decided that there was really no need to fight the weather. The seafood buffet could wait. Instead, we ordered GrabFood and decided to stay in for the night. While waiting for the food to arrive, Khun R and I caught up on life.

This is one thing I really appreciate about him. We can talk for hours about practically anything under the sun. There is no need to force a conversation or constantly find something to talk about — we just naturally catch up on whatever has happened since we last met.

Eventually, after more than an hour of waiting, the food finally arrived. By then, we were absolutely famished. Dear all, Never order food when you’re extremely hungry.

The portions at some places can be surprisingly generous, and between the hunger and the waiting time, we apparently forgot how much food two people could reasonably consume.

We couldn’t even finish everything. There was even one whole salad dish that remained completely untouched. 😂

In the end, Khun R suggested that we keep the leftovers in the fridge and he could reheat them for lunch the next day. While eating and chatting, we also discussed the plan for the following day.

I decided to have a day to myself, while Khun R would head to work as usual so he could maintain his attendance. We agreed to meet again on my final night and, hopefully, finally get that seafood buffet we had originally planned.

For tonight, though, there was nowhere else we needed to be. We did our usual little ritual, settled down and eventually went to bed.

After a pretty hectic first couple of days, it was actually a nice way to end the evening — no rushing, no travelling around Bangkok, just good food, good conversation and good company.

17 September 2026

I woke up earlier than my alarm and started my morning routine, washing up and getting ready for breakfast. Khun R was still fast asleep, looking absolutely exhausted after the previous day’s activities.

My room booking comes with breakfast, and the plan was for both of us to have breakfast together. So after getting myself ready, I woke Khun R up. Eventually, we both headed down for breakfast.

After breakfast, I sent Khun R off and decided to take the day to recover. With no appointments planned, I went back to sleep and woke up hungry around 2pm.

I headed out for some Pad See Ew at a restaurant near the hotel.

Then, in true YOLO fashion, I made a last-minute decision to head to Talad Phlu to meet a Thai friend – Bank I had gotten to know through TikTok.

Bank used to work as a bar host but recently left the job and started a new chapter by opening his own ice cream shop in Talad Phlu. Did you know Talad Phlu is also the filming location for “How to make millions before Grandma dies”?

I took a GrabCar to Talad Phlu. The area was vibrant and buzzing, although the ice cream shop itself was tucked away on a quieter street.

Finally, I met up with Bank and his girlfriend. Of course, I had to try their animal-shaped ice cream along with some drinks. Objectively speaking, the ice cream wasn’t overly sweet and was actually really nice.

We also filmed a few TikToks just for laughs, and before I knew it, I ended up staying until closing. Time really flies when you’re having fun.

While I was in Talad Phlu, I also caught up with Mr Yook and let him know I was in Bangkok. I told him I would find some time to visit him, but he offered to come over to my room for a massage instead.

Once I reached the hotel, I was hungry again, so I made a quick trip to 7-Eleven to grab some of my favourites and, as usual, browse around for any new and interesting snacks to try.

While I was eating, Yook messaged to say that he had a walk-in customer and would only be able to come over later. I didn’t mind waiting. I already knew he would deliver a good massage, so there was no need to rush.

Not long after, Yook arrived and I went down to receive him. We did the session in my hotel room, although the setup wasn’t exactly ideal. The bed was too soft and too low, which made things rather restrictive. Even using a pillow while lying face down wasn’t particularly comfortable.

Still, Yook was there, and I was looking forward to catching up with him again — even if the hotel bed wasn’t exactly designed for this kind of work.

After two hours, I felt refreshed — and, naturally, hungry again.

I sent Yook off and decided to drop S’Sense a message, just to try my luck and see if I could book Mr Knott for a session in the afternoon before meeting Khun R again.

With no immediate plans, I grabbed some snacks and went to bed. Then, sometime later, my phone buzzed. S’Sense had unexpectedly replied to my inquiry. Still half-asleep, I confirmed the reservation and went straight back to sleep.

18 September 2026

Once again, I woke up before my alarm despite going to bed late. I don’t even wake up this early in Singapore! 😂

After washing up, I headed down for breakfast. My hotel breakfast isn’t exactly five-star or InterContinental level, but it’s still pretty good overall. Though some days, I do question the menu choices!

After breakfast, I went back to my room to chill and prepare for my next appointment at S’Sense Massage.

I had wanted to try Mr Knott for the longest time, dating back to my earlier visits a few years ago when Mr Singha was my go-to therapist. Knott had since left the shop but recently returned. Luckily, I managed to slot myself into his schedule this time.

S’Sense Massage — Mr Knott

I booked a Grab about 20 minutes before my appointment. The shop is only around 5 minutes away, but with lunchtime traffic, I figured it was better to leave some buffer.

In no time, I was back at S’Sense. The shop and its surrounding neighbourhood felt familiar yet strangely distant. It had been quite a while since my last visit.

I was ushered to a seat and asked to show my booking message for verification. Mr Knott was already at the counter waiting. First impression? He actually looked better in real life than in his photos — slightly buffer, with a very pleasant smile.

Once he realised I was his next client, he came over and handled the administrative stuff. He speaks basic English and is easy to understand. After payment, he brought me through to the back alley where more rooms are located.

He asked me to shower while he prepared the room. After a quick rinse, I waited for him to return.

When he came back, he went through the usual S’Sense SOP, including explaining the tipping arrangements. I already knew the drill, but I let him finish his introduction anyway. 😂

Knott gave me more of an E-person vibe — easy to talk to and quite candid.

His massage was medium to firm, with plenty of long, deep strokes. You can definitely feel the familiar S’Sense style, but he also adds his own touch to it, which made the session feel like his own rather than simply following a formula. Overall, the massage was amazing and this meet up with Mr Knott was long awaited. I will repeat him again and as to why –  I will leave the exciting details to my in-depth review. So stay tuned!

I grabbed a ride back to the hotel and texted Khun R to confirm our meeting time. While waiting, I popped into 7-Eleven to grab two of my favourites — fish maw soup and Pad See Ew.

Halfway through my meal, Khun R arrived. I headed down to pick him up, and we went back to the room.

Before dinner, we decided to hit the hotel steam room for about 15 minutes — partly to relax and partly to work up an appetite. 😂 While sitting there, we chatted and started brainstorming ideas for a possible November trip. We eventually settled on Koh Larn — a chance to escape Bangkok for a day or two, catch some sun and enjoy a change of scenery.

If anyone is even slightly interested in a Koh Larn adventure, let me know!

After cooling down and freshening up, the hunger finally kicked in. We debated between Kod Talay seafood buffet and Korean BBQ. Since it was Friday evening, we figured the queue at Kod Talay would be crazy, so Korean BBQ won.

We took the BTS to Nana, where Khun R led the way towards Korean Town. It was nice simply walking around Bangkok together and catching up along the way. We soon reached his favourite Korean BBQ restaurant. I told Khun R to order whatever he liked, and I added a few dishes of my own.

We continued catching up over dinner and the rain started pouring again. Luckily, we had already finished eating, so there was nothing left to do but sit there and wait for the rain to ease.

Once the rain became lighter, we walked over to Terminal 21 for a little exploring before heading to Dreamboys so Khun R could clock in for attendance. After that, we squeezed in a foot massage before heading back to the hotel. Back at the room, we continued chatting late into the night and worked on our November trip plans some more and off to bed we went.

19 September 2026

We woke up slightly later, and both Khun R and I headed down for breakfast. After breakfast, I could tell he was still sleepy, so we went back to bed and we ended up sleeping until late noon.

Eventually, it was time to send him off for the last time on this trip. We said our goodbyes and looked forward to our November plans.

With my flight only in the evening, I headed out for some lunch before returning to the hotel to rest and pack. And just like that, the trip was coming to an end.

Time really flies when you’re having fun.

This was another short but memorable Bangkok trip, filled with new therapists, familiar faces, good food, plenty of rain and, of course, lots of catching up with Khun R.

Now, I’m already looking forward to November.

See you again soon, Bangkok. 🇹🇭
