Hello, it is BMM – Taeng Mo again! As my command of English is not as good as BMM – Sawng’s, I have asked generative AI to help polish up my grammar and sentence structure. Fret not, the experiences and main points are all personal experiences of mine. Generative AI has helped me be able to share my happiness and reviews with you.

This was not one of those spontaneous “I’m in Bangkok, let’s see where the night takes me” trips. This one was a semi-planned trip, coordinated with the rest of the BMMs, and I really appreciate everyone for making the time and effort to gather together in Bangkok.
One of the things I enjoy about these trips is the opportunity to explore. Whenever possible, I like trying new shops and therapists so I can contribute something useful to this website and, hopefully, help fellow BMMs discover someone worth checking out.
But this time, my body had other plans.
After all the travelling, activities and general wear and tear, I was in such a wrecked state that experimenting with someone completely new wasn’t exactly what I needed. I needed someone I knew could deliver.
And that’s how I ended up returning to Prestige Massage.
The location couldn’t have been more convenient. Prestige is just a three-minute walk from my hotel, and the booking process is incredibly straightforward. I can select my therapist through LINE, arrange a time and get everything confirmed without much fuss.
More importantly, I already knew who I wanted.
Yook.
I had previously had a session with him, so I already knew what he was capable of and, more importantly, that he could work on the areas that were giving me trouble. When your body is already crying for help, sometimes familiarity beats experimentation.
Yook and I have also kept in touch periodically through Instagram and LINE. During one of our conversations, I found out that he had recently learned some new techniques, including scrub and Jetlag Massage.
He told me that the next time I came back, he would incorporate some of these new techniques into my session.
I didn’t tell him when I would be back.
In fact, I deliberately kept quiet because I thought it would be fun to make it a surprise reunion.
Except…
It wasn’t much of a surprise.
At some point, Yook mentioned that he already knew I was coming.
My immediate assumption was that the admin had told him.
So much for my grand surprise reunion. 😂
Still, there was something quite nice about returning to a familiar therapist and knowing that, this time around, there would be some new techniques added to the experience.
And with my body in the state it was in, I was more than ready to see what Yook had learned since my last visit.
I walked into Prestige Massage with about three minutes to spare, and there was Yook already waiting for me on the ground floor.
The moment our eyes met, he gave me that warm smile.
And just like that, I knew I was in good hands today.
After settling the admin stuff and making payment, Yook ushered me into the lift and we started catching up. It honestly felt less like meeting a therapist and more like catching up with an old friend whom I hadn’t seen in a while.
We reached the room and I slowly settled in while Yook prepared everything. He handed me a towel, and I knew the drill. He told me he would go get the items while I took my shower.
Time for the new technique
After my shower, Yook instructed me to lie on the bed and get ready for the scrub.
I don’t usually do scrubs, so I honestly wasn’t quite sure what to expect. What surprised me was that he didn’t immediately jump into the scrubbing. Instead, he started with a little warm-up — almost like some gentle stretching strokes to prepare my body.
An interesting way to start, and one that I definitely appreciated.
As usual, we talked throughout the session. My Thai has improved quite a bit since my previous trips, and I was actually quite proud that I could now hold a proper, simple conversation with him. I’ve even been mistaken for a Thai by other Thais on occasion, so apparently the hard work is paying off!
But while we were chatting away, I could also feel that Yook was putting in 100% effort into the session.
He really took his time with the scrub, making sure he covered every nook and cranny without making it uncomfortable or painful. Instead, it was surprisingly relaxing.
Before I knew it, the scrub was over.
I jumped back into the shower while Yook changed the sheets and prepared the room for the main event.
And honestly, rinsing everything off felt fantastic. My skin felt incredibly smooth and refreshed.
I was really glad I gave Yook the opportunity to show me what he had learned.
The main event — 90 minutes of oil massage
Back on the bed, it was time for the 90-minute oil massage.
I told Yook about the areas that were giving me the most trouble, and he acknowledged them and assured me that he would work on them.
As he started working through my body, I quickly discovered that there were other areas that were sore too — areas I hadn’t even realised were contributing to my problems.
Yook explained that some of these areas could be connected to the problem areas I had originally mentioned.
One of the biggest surprises was my shoulders.
I hadn’t specifically told him that my shoulders were giving me trouble, but he picked up on it almost immediately.
That’s one of the things I appreciate about a good therapist. Sometimes you don’t even know where the problem is until they find it for you.
Yook then brought out some of the new Jetlag Massage techniques he had learned and started working on my neck and shoulders.
The difference was almost immediate.
I could feel everything opening up, the tension gradually releasing and the blood flow returning. That deep soreness I hadn’t even realised was there started to disappear.
I had to give him credit — his newly improved skills were definitely showing.
Turning over, he continued with the rest of his sequence, spending a little more time concentrating on my shoulders. By this point, I was extremely relaxed.
And then, inevitably, my inner sailor decided it was time to make an appearance. 😂
Yook, probably having encountered plenty of sailors in his line of work, casually asked whether I wanted to reach my destination.
Well…
Of course I wanted to reach my destination.
After all, if the massage had already managed to reset my wrecked body, reaching the final destination would certainly be the cherry on top. 😉
Final thoughts
Overall, I can definitely see an improvement in Yook’s massage skills and techniques compared with my previous visit.
The scrub was something new for me, and I’m glad I gave him the opportunity to try it out. His Jetlag Massage techniques, particularly around my neck and shoulders, were another pleasant surprise.
More importantly, there was a noticeable level of care and effort throughout the entire session. He listened to what I told him, identified areas I hadn’t even considered, and adjusted his work accordingly.
I’m really glad I got to know Yook, and I’ll definitely continue supporting him.
Given how wrecked my body was this trip, having someone familiar who knows how to reset me properly was exactly what I needed.
So perhaps I’ll make it a point to find Yook whenever I’m back in Bangkok.
Then again…
Let’s see what the next trip brings. 😏
Do note that this is my personal experience with Yook and your experience may vary. If you have engaged Yook and have received the same or different experience, do share it with me if you are comfortable via email or a Discord message. If you have anyone else to recommend from Prestige, do let me know as well. I would very much like to try.
