Saunas & Onsens

Saunas and onsens serve different functions to people with different wants. Saunas are for patrons looking to have the full sex experience with others, while onsens cater for patrons who prefer oral sex and mutual masturbation.

Saunas

To enter the sauna, you will have to pay an admission fee. In exchange, you will receive a locker key for your clothes and belongings, towels and some generic condoms. Please bring your own condoms as the condoms issued by the sauna may not be the right size for you or your sex partner.

A typical sauna layout consists of a locker area, showering area, dark maze and many small private rooms. Strip your clothes and store your belongings in the locker, then take a quick rinse in the shower area. Walk around the dark maze to find consenting sexual partner(s) and bring them to one of the many private rooms to have sex.

With sauna facilities being similar to each other, the only way each sauna differentiate itself from the others and attract more patrons is via events. Such events may include the engagement of popular models to “interact” with patrons, foam parties and themed nights.

Saunas that are popular amongst tourists are, Sauna Mania, R3 Ratchada Sauna and Krubb.

Saunas that are popular amongst locals are, Chakran and 39 Underground Sauna.

Onsens

To enter an onsen, you will first have to remove your shoes and store them in a shoe locker. Take the shoe locker key and head to the reception and pass them the shoe locker key. Similar to a sauna, you are required to pay an admission fee. In exchange, you will receive towels and a set of Japanese robes.

A typical onsen layout consists of a locker area, showering area, hot and cold pools, steam room and a sauna. Store your clothes and belongings in the locker and take the small towel with you to the showering area. Once you have rinsed yourself, feel free to enjoy the facilities such as the hot and cool pool.

If you are feeling horny, head into the dimmed steam room. The dimmed ambience encourages patrons to physically interact with each other, groping one another and giving each other oral sex. If the steam room is too full, some action may spill over to the sauna. Usually, once you exit the steam room or sauna, patrons are usually more discreet and less likely to “play” with each other in the pools and showering area.

With onsen facilities being similar to each other, the differentiating factors are the facilities and freebies that come along with your admission ticket. Some onsens offer a meal voucher for you to redeem a free meal, or have a small cafe where you can purchase food and beverages.

Some onsens will have a resting lounge, as well as a designated Thai Massage area, where mats are available for “Thai Massage” to be carried out. Drawable curtains are present for privacy.

Do note that there are straight onsens which prohibits any form of indecent activity. These onsens are purely for relaxation. Do go to a gay onsen if you want to both relax and enjoy the sexual tension / activity with other men.

Some popular gay onsens are Maxwell Onsen, Ryuu Onsen, Zen Onsen and Kaikan Onsen.
