  • 000. Introduction: Olivia / Wisdom Massage

Hello, this is BMM – Sawng. Here is an introduction to Olivia Massage / Wisdom Massage and what to expect on your first visit.

    Introduction

Olivia Massage and Wisdom Massage belong to the same management that runs Gass Bangkok bar and White Rabbit Bar Silom.

As of writing, Olivia has 4 branches peppered around Silom district while Wisdom Massage has only 1 outlet. Both concepts are similar in their product offering, being,

    • Foot massage,
    • Thai Body Massage, and
    • Body Massage with oil.

Olivia Massage and Wisdom Massage welcomes both male and female customers and have both male and female therapists. We at BMM always do walk-ins and do not make reservations in advance. This is as Olivia and Wisdom always have stand-by capacity for walk-ins.

If you are like us at BMM who prefer male therapists, fret not. The male to female therapists ratio is very high, almost 10:1. For foot massage, you will be assigned a therapist based on their roster. For Thai body massage or oil body massage, you get to choose your therapist.

The chance of you being assigned, or choosing an available male therapist is very high as Olivia and Wisdom Massage male to female therapist ratio is quite high, almost 10:1.

If you wish to engage in any form of therapy, feel free to walk towards the acrylic board displaying their menu and prices. There’ll be a manager there trying to sell you their available massage packages. Let him or her know what you want, a foot massage, Thai body massage, or body massage with oil.

They will then usher you into the shop and you will change your footwear to their slippers. Payment is to be made first at the cashier. After payment, you will then be ushered towards the different treatment places for your therapy.

    Foot Massage

For foot massage, you will first be ushered to a foot wash basin to lather and rinse your feet. After this is done, you will be guided to your seat where you will lie down on a recliner sofa and have your feet massaged.

The timing used on each foot will be your massage duration, minus 10 minutes, divided by two. This means if you take a 60 minute massage, each foot will get about 25 minutes of therapy time and the last 10 minutes will be used to massage your neck and back.

I do not know if the neck and back part can be skipped. I tried telling them before that I do not want it in English. They will acknowledge and still do it anyway.

After the massage is done, a customary tip should be given to the therapist as their main source of income is tips. It is up to you to choose your tip amount. At BMM, we usually give 100 Baht regardless of the treatment duration.

    Thai Body Massage
As for Thai body massage, you will be brought to a place where it could be either a partitioned room, or a common area with curtains as partition.

You will be asked to change into their Thai body massage attire for easy stretching and massaging of your body. Change into it and it is your choice to keep your underwear on or off.

As we are not too familiar with Thai massage, we will not be describing the flow of the Thai massage in detail. We usually go for a body massage with oil.

There is a chance that your therapist may offer a happy ending. The going market rate is 500 Baht for a handjob. If your therapist opens the negotiation with 1000 Baht, please feel free to counter the offer at 500 Baht and see how it goes. It is then up to you to decide at what price point you are willing to accept. It is also okay to reject the happy ending offer if the price is not to your liking.

After the massage is done, a customary tip should be given to the therapist as it is their main source of income. It is up to you to choose your tip amount. At BMM, we usually give 100 Baht if no happy endings are given.

    Body Massage with Oil

For body massage with oil, you will be brought to a room with an ensuite shower.

It is the standard procedure for customers to take a pre and post massage shower. This showering duration is part of your package duration. It is the standard industry practice to include the showering time as part of your chosen package duration.

After taking the pre-massage shower, wait for the therapist to re-enter the room. Lie face down onto the treatment bed and let the therapist perform his magic.

    Conclusion

If you are looking for a fuss free massage or a place to pass time, Olivia / Wisdom Massage is a very good place to be at.

A happy ending is not always guaranteed, but you should not be going to such places with an expectation of a happy ending. It is always a bonus.

  • 000. Introduction: S Sense Massage

Hello, this is BMM – Sawng. Here is an introduction to S Sense Massage and what to expect when going to S Sense for a massage.

    Introduction
S Sense Massage is a massage shop that has male therapists catering to primarily male customers.

    Reaching S Sense Massage
S Sense is located in Suan Plu, which is far from any public transit system. Hence, the most efficient and optimal way to reach S Sense is via a Grab. Grab is the uber equivalent in Thailand. On the Grab app itself, S Sense Massage can be found as a destination and your driver will drive you straight to S Sense Massage.

With S Sense only accessible via private car or bike, the unpredictability of Bangkok’s traffic will mean that you have to factor in additional 50% traveling time that the Google Map suggests. A 20 minute trip on Google Map will materialise into a 30 minute trip.

For foodies, there is a cafe nearby called Bartel’s that serves really good sourdough sandwiches.

    Sequence of Events

    Step 1: Selection of Therapist(s)
To select your therapists, you will first need to have the LINE application downloaded onto your mobile phone. LINE is an instant messaging application that is currently the de facto messaging application used by Thais.

Once you have downloaded LINE, add S Sense Massage @nai4795h to your contacts and chat with them. From there, you can see a Menu tab that brings up Therapist, Menu, Booking, Location, Promotion and Contact.

Click onto Therapist to see all the available therapists available and see who best suits you. From here, you have 2 choices depending on your schedule. If your schedule is limited to one opening of massage, from 60 minutes to 120 minutes. I will suggest you talk to the admin of the History of Massage LINE account and ask who is available on that day and timing. From there, pick someone you find most attractive to go and have a massage with.

If your schedule is more flexible, I will suggest picking a few therapists from the photo album and then check with the admin, individually, on their availability. From there, you can see whose schedule matches yours the most and pick the best therapist for you.

In both choices, the admin will check if the therapist of your choice is available at your desired timing. Once confirmed to be available, you will proceed to Step 2.

Try to use simple and basic English if possible. You do not even need to construct a complete sentence. An example can be, “Singha free 18 August at 2pm?”

    Step 2: Select a therapy
Unique to S Sense Massage is their duration. They will strongly encourage you to take the 2 hour massage course as most of their therapies are designed around the 2 hour duration. There are a few massage courses for you to pick, but honestly, I will pick the cheapest that is available. The basic entry level massage is often good enough.

If you are new to the massage industry, the 2 hour massage duration is inclusive of the time you take for a pre-massage shower and post-shower massage, and any other time spent administering the pre or post massage service to you. The time frame serves as a reference for how long you will spend in the shop, not how long the massage service will be. A 2 hour massage session that starts at 3pm will mean that you will leave the shop approximately around 5pm, leaving about 1 hour 45 minutes of massage therapy. This is the standard industry practice.

Personally, I’m not a fan of a 2 hour massage session as my attention span for massages typically lasts only about 90 minutes. However, for S Sense, I try my best to enjoy the massage and not get distracted by my own thoughts and go for the 2 hour session.

Step 3: Show up for your massage
Upon stepping into S Sense, the receptionist / stand-by therapists will usher you to sit in their small reception area and confirm your booking. Show your booking details on your Line app with them and proceed to make payment. Payment in credit card will incur a service fee, so pay in cash if you prefer.

Your therapist will then appear with a welcome drink and a change of footwear for you. During which, you may be asked to select a massage oil scent for your massage.

Over the years, S Sense has expanded to more than just one physical building. There are a few buildings within a 3 minutes walking distance of the S Sense reception area that S Sense operates out of. You may be asked to go to these ancillary buildings to have your treatment.

This is where I want to share a BMM tip with you. Always arrive 15 minutes earlier before your stipulated appointment timing. The 15 minutes will be used for the receptionist to welcome you, change your footwear and take the pre-massage shower. The therapist will often enter the therapy room at your appointment timing. He will then be able to provide for a longer massage session for you.

    Step 4: Tip your therapist
One major thing that S Sense does very well is their transparency of tips. After you confirm your service with S Sense via Line, you can ask them for their tipping guideline and they will send you a picture detailing their “extra” service to end the massage.

The tipping rate is as follows,

    • 100 to 200 Baht: Regular massage with no additional service,
    • 500 Baht: Basic happy ending
    • 900 Baht and above: Body to body massage

As usual, you may choose to tip more than the stipulated amount if you have received exceptional service by the therapist.

With the transparency of “extra” service and the tips amount associated with it, it removes ambiguity to what the therapists can or cannot do in S Sense. You can expect the massage therapist to ask you nearing the end of the massage on what your choice of “extras” are.

You may or may not wish to take up the “extra” offer. It is up to you to decide. Your comfort level matters the most, the therapists will not be disappointed if you opt for just a regular massage with no “extras”.

  • 000. Introduction: The Residence at Sala Daeng

Hello, this is BMM – Sawng. Here is an introduction to The Residences at Sala Daeng and what to expect on your first visit.

    Introduction

The Residences at Sala Daeng (“The Residences”) started in 2026 as a massage parlour that has male therapists catering to primarily male customers.

The management behind The Residences is the same management for Klover Massages and History of Massage. However, the therapists for each outlet are unique and cannot work at two different locations at the same time.

    Reaching The Residences

The Residences is located in YJA Building, at Sala Daeng district, near the newly opened Central Park Dusit mall along Silom Road.

To reach The Residences, you can,

    • Take the BTS (Sala Daeng) or MRT (Silom) and walk over, or
    • Grab / Taxi

If you are taking the BTS / MRT, follow the sheltered walkways or underground passageways to Central Park Dusit. Enter the mall and cross over to the exit nearer to Dusit Thani. Dusit Thani is the hotel that is attached to Central Park Dusit. From there, walk along the street and follow Google Maps’s instructions. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk.

Do note that in Google Maps, there are two YJA Building entries,

    • Yja Building (wrong),
    • YJA Building (correct).

Make sure you choose the right one as your destination location.

If you are taking Grab, the uber equivalent in Thailand, make sure you input YJA Building instead of The Residences. The Residences, under the Grab app, is a condominium complex that is near the YJA Building. You will be dropped at the condominium complex and a short walk is required for you to reach YJA Building.

The unpredictability of Bangkok’s traffic will mean that you will have to factor in an additional 50% traveling time on top of what Google Maps suggests for your Grab ride. A 20 minute trip on Google Map can materialise into a 30 minute trip easily.

Upon reaching YJA Building, you will see a security post, manned or unmanned. Walk through it and take the left corridor till you see an elevator and toilet. Call the elevator and go to Level 4. The reception area of The Residences is at Level 4.

    Sequence of Events

    Step 1: Selection of Therapist(s)

To select your therapists, you will first need to have the LINE application downloaded onto your mobile phone. LINE is an instant messaging application that is currently the de facto messaging application used by Thais.

Once you have downloaded LINE, add The Residences @residences-bkk to your contacts and chat with them. From there, you can see a MENU tab that showcases Therapist Information, Promotion and Location. Click onto Therapists to see the Services provided as well as the therapists available in a Google Photos album.

An example can be, “Ice free 18 August at 2pm?”

Step 2: Select a therapy and duration
Take a look at their menu and select the massage course you want. Personally, I will recommend taking the cheapest massage option, as the basic entry level massage is often good enough.

If you are new to the massage industry, there are usually 3 fixed duration for purely massage, 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 120 minutes. This time is inclusive of the time you take for a pre-massage shower and a post-massage shower, and any other time spent in administering the pre or post massage service to you. The time frame serves as a reference for how long you will spend in the shop, not how long the massage service is going to take. If you pick a 60 minute massage that starts at 3pm, you will leave the shop at 4pm with approximately 45 minutes of massage therapy. This is the standard industry practice.

Personally, I will pick a 90 minute massage session as a 60 minute massage is too rushed for me. I avoid picking 120 minutes as my attention span for massages can typically last for about 90 minutes. Anything more than that, I will be very restless. If you are able to do a 120 minute massage and be able to enjoy it, go for it!

However, if you are thinking of adding on a scrub, do note that a scrub roughly takes about 20 minutes to complete. If you are thinking of a 60 minute massage with a complete scrub, pick the 90 minutes massage with scrub option.

    Step 3: Make Full payment

Unlike Klover or History of Massage that allows for a deposit of 500 Baht, The Residences requires you to pay in full before you can secure your booking. Once you have made your payment in full, take a screenshot of your payment and send it back to the admin. The admin will then double confirm with you that your reservation is confirmed and completed.

Step 4: Show up for your massage
Upon entering The Residences, the receptionist will check with you if you are a walk-in or have a reservation. Just mention the name of the therapist you have reserved and let them complete the administrative work with you.

The receptionist will usher you to take a seat and page for your therapist to bring a welcome drink and a change of footwear for you. Once you have changed into their slippers and finished your drink, your therapist will lead you to their treatment room located at Level 3 for your pre-massage shower.

    Step 5: Tip your therapist

Upon the end of the massage, before leaving the therapy room, pass your tips over in cash to your therapist.

If you have received a regular massage with no additional service, the minimal tip is 500 Baht. If the massage was good and you really enjoyed it, I would highly recommend tipping more than 500 Baht. I will usually tip 1000 Baht for exceptional massage, with no additional service.

As The Residences is a soft-style massage establishment, nearing the end of the massage (or at the start), the therapist may ask if you want any specials. At The Residences, the therapists are not supposed to suggest the special that they can provide or the tips required for it.

A basic happy ending will be around 1000 Baht, while a body to body massage will be around 2000 Baht. If the therapist quotes you more than this amount, it is up to you to decide if it is acceptable to you. Negotiate if you want to. If all things fail, you can always default back to the minimum tips for a regular massage.

  • 000. Introduction: History of Massage

Hello, this is BMM – Sawng. Here is an introduction to History of Massage and what to expect when going to History of Massage for the first time.

    Introduction

History of Massage started in 2025 as a massage parlour that has male therapists catering to primarily male customers.

The management behind History of Massage is the same management for Klover Massages and The Residences at Sala Daeng. However, the therapists for each outlet are unique and cannot work at two different locations at the same time.

    Reaching History of Massage

History of Massage is located on the second level of Stadium One mall.

To reach Stadium One, you have two options,

    • BTS, then walk, or
    • Taxi / Grab.

If you are taking the BTS, alight at National Stadium and walk about 15 minutes with the aid of Google Maps and you will be able to reach Stadium One. Walking in Bangkok, no matter the timing of the day or night, is generally safe.

Grab is the uber equivalent in Thailand. On the Grab app itself, input Stadium One as the destination. As for taxis, I am not sure if they are aware of the mall name being called Stadium One as it is a relatively new mall compared to other legacy malls in Bangkok, so my suggestion is to take a Grab instead.

If you are taking Grab, the unpredictability of Bangkok’s traffic will mean that you will have to factor in an additional 50% traveling time on top of what Google Maps suggests. A 20 minute trip on Google Map can materialise into a 30 minute trip easily.

Stadium One mall is a huge complex with multiple buildings. History of Massage is located at the main building, where there’s an information counter at level one. Near to the information counter will be a spiral staircase and elevator lobby. Take either the elevator or spiral staircase up to level 2 and walk down the path, passing the toilets to reach History of Massage.

    Sequence of Events

    Step 1: Selection of Therapist(s)

To select your therapists, you will first need to have the LINE application downloaded onto your mobile phone. LINE is an instant messaging application that is currently the de facto messaging application used by Thais.

A deposit of minimum 500 Baht is required to secure your booking. You can alternatively opt to make full payment. At BMM, we always make full payment as we are confident that we will turn up at the time of our reservation.

Take a screenshot of your payment and send it back to the admin. The admin will then let you know that your booking is confirmed.

Step 4: Show up for your massage
Upon entering History of Massage, the receptionist will check with you if you are a walk-in or have a reservation. Just mention the name of the therapist you have reserved and let them complete the administrative work with you.

If you made a deposit, now is the time to make the remaining payment. If you have made the full payment earlier, the receptionist will usher you to a seat, then page for your therapist to welcome you.

Your therapist will also bring along a pair of slippers for you to change into. Once you have changed into the slippers and finished your drink, your therapist will bring you to your massage room for your pre-massage shower.

  • 000. Introduction: Klover

Hello, this is BMM – Sawng. Here is an introduction to Klover and what to expect when going to Klover for a massage.

    Introduction
Klover Massages (“Klover”) started in 2024 as a massage shop that has male therapists catering to primarily male customers.

The management behind Klover is also the same management responsible for History of Massage and The Residences at Sala Daeng. However, the therapists are unique to each location and cannot work at two different locations at the same time.

    Reaching Klover

The most efficient and optimal way to reach Klover is via a Grab. Grab is the uber equivalent in Thailand. On the Grab app itself, Klover Massages can be found as a destination and your driver will drive you straight to the building that Klover is situated in.

Klover is on the second floor, right above Tops daily. You will be able to see a staircase that leads to the second level at the entrance of Tops daily. That is the staircase you need to take to reach Klover. At the end of the corridor, there are toilets if you need to use them before entering Klover.

    Sequence of Events

    Step 1: Selection of therapist(s)

    https://klovermassages.com/en

On Klover’s website, the availability of their therapists are published, accurate to the next upcoming few days. Booking a few days in advance is recommended.

If your schedule is limited to only one opening for a 60 minutes to 120 minutes massage, I will suggest you check their available therapists and then select one that you find most attractive to you.

The admin will then check for you if the therapist is available. If he is, you will proceed to Step 3. If not, you will have to either pick another time slot, or another therapist.
